It is the end of all things.

The sun has long since boiled the seas dry and scorched the lands. It now retreats, a sullen red orb, leaving the planet barren. The stars, no longer impeded by such barriers as atmosphere and local light, shine in all their splendor, impossibly far away.

You are the last of what was once humanity. Neither individuals nor collective, you are something in-between. And the time has come to choose, after silent millennia cast in darkness: will you scatter your consciousness to the very void of space? Or become one with the truly dead planet beneath you?

Partly inspired by glitch art, the Stone Eaters from NK Jemisin's Broken Earth Trilogy, and the infamous etymology of utopia, U///TOPIA is a game that places you at the end of this planet, and asks you to decide what should be done with the remnant intelligences of Earth.

The download file includes the game in pdf, png, and an ink-friendly and high contrast black-and-white version with massively reduced graphics.
